Bangladesh Public Service Commission | BPSC Dhaka Syllabus Exams

 

 

BPSC is a quasi legal organization founded in 1972 in the Constitution of the Bangladesh. It’s also called Bangladesh Public Service Commission. It mechanism in the provisions of the Article 137 - 141 of the Constitution of Bangladesh and sure additional rules and regulations prepared by the government according their set up. It mechanism to assist Govt. to develop an suitable civil service for the 21st century through selection of competent & well-organized bureaucrat for the Republic who would be brilliant with high rank of truthfulness and vitality. It would create its capital and power for choosing appropriate applicants for the services of the Republic, to assist the govt. in preparing a wellbeing oriented examine state for its workers, and to assist the govt. in continuing regulation in the service.
 
Mission:
 
BPSC create assets and power for government through this they can easily selects those applicants who serve the government with their best capabilities. Firstly selecting appropriate applicants for the services of the Republic, secondly assist the government in preparing a benefit service state for its workers, and thirdly to assist the government in continuing regulation in the service.
 
Aim
 
The basic Aim of BPSC is to assist the government to build a suitable civil service for the 21st century during choose competent & well-organized bureaucrat for the Republic who would be brilliant with high level of truthfulness and energy.
 

BPSC Examination System

BCS Examination
 
  • There are 28 different cadres for BCS Examination in Bangladesh.
  • Eligibility criteria is based on the age candidate should be 21 to 30 year age is eligible for BCS exam this is for general candidates and 21 to 32 year age is for Freedom Fighter’s Children and health cadre, tribal applicants for only general education cadre.
  • BCS examination have three phases firstly Preliminary Examination this is a screening test conducted on the following pattern in which subjects based on Bangla, English, General Knowledge, Bangladesh & International affairs, General Science and Technology, Mathematical Reasoning and Mental ability, every day science. Duration of this test is 1 hour and it’s a only 100 marks test based on objective type.
  • Phase two is based on written Examination and phase three is based on voice viva.

Non Cadre Examination
 
For the employment of non-cadre gazetted class-I and class-II officer’s two straight recruitment procedures are pursue. There are based on Preliminary, written and viva voce exam, and Written and viva voce exam.
 
Departmental Examination
 
There are Departmental exam are held also under the Bangladesh Public Service Commission. There are 28 different cadres of the Bangladesh civil service. Each officer of the entry level posts of a cadre service must meet the criteria in a departmental examination performs by the Public Service Commission. The BPSC also conducts departmental examinations for definite groups of non cadre services. The examination is held two times a year, Mostly in June and December.
 
Senior Scale Examination
 
Each officer after being complete to the cadre post has to meet the criteria in a Senior Scale examination for promotion to a senior scale post. This examination is also conducted by the Public Service Commission. The examination is held two times a year, in February and August.
